The Systems Administrator III serves as an escalation point for level I and II analysts for resolution of complex incidents. Responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure, within established service level agreements. Engages other subject matter experts and vendors to bring resolution to complex issues. Responsible for identification of reoccurring incidents through trend analysis and coordinating resources to find a permanent resolution to prevent future occurrences. Responsible for selection, maintenance, and response protocols of monitoring tools. Facilitates procedural documentation necessary for level I and II analysts to perform duties. Designs new processes and evaluates new technologies to facilitate better customer service. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Leads project teams as necessary.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
