  • Overview

    This position will work collaboratively with Pharmacy Administration to develop and implement various projects and strategies as they relate to the business of pharmacy within Baptist Health Care. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Oversee all aspects of Pharmaceutical Supply Chain for Baptist Health Care facilities (BH, GBH, JH, BMGs, etc)
    • In collaboration with HSD and DOP, assist in the management of the HRSA 340B Program and the expansion of contract pharmacies
    • Collaboratively with Pharmacy Informatics / Billing regarding proper billing procedures, including pharmaceutical waste
    • Assist HSD, DOP with contracting for pharmaceuticals, equipment, and services
    • Oversee the corporate wide Patient Assistance Program (PAP)
    • Oversee the corporate wide Pharmaceutical Consignment Program
    • Assist Controlled Substance Team with all requirements related to DEA, Florida State Law, and supply chain.
    • Oversee purchasing analyst(s) for all facilities, as well as 340B technician(s) to achieve pharmacy financial and regulatory goals.

    The person in this position is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

    Qualifications

    • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in either Finance, Business, Accounting or Health Care Administration OR Education as required to obtain Pharmacy Technician License

    • Three (3) years’ experience is required in accounting to include billing, contracts or budget preparation.

    • Current Florida License is required if a Registered Pharmacy Technician

    • Duties necessitate background in inventory control, finance, and clerical functions. Knowledge with, word processing, Excel spreadsheet programs, and Internet.
