  • Overview

    Under the direction of the Director of Cardiac Diagnostics, the Cardiac Diagnostic Manager contributes to the efficient operation of the department, promotes the BHC philosophy and ensures quality and continuity of patient care. This position is responsible for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of Non-Invasive Cardiology and neurodiagnostics division. This positon gives direction and supervises over clinical nursing, patient care, and the operational aspects of non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and neurodiagnostics. The Cardiac Diagnostic Manager is responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the departments by ensuring service operation, personnel management, resource allocation, and control in order to support and enhance patient care. This position is responsible for assuring the orientation, training, evaluation and specific job duties of the team members of the Non-Invasive Cardiology. This position performs all duties relating to the efficiency of the department. This position is responsible for decision-making as related to patient care, human resource, and financial management and has responsibility for the associated operations in assigned areas. This person demonstrates superior communication skills with all internal and external customers and exhibits a high degree of integrity, a solid character, and sound judgment.

    The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business related field is required
    • Two years’ experience required in Cardiology. Previous leadership experience is required.
    • Current Licensure in the state of Florida if an RN or Radiology Technologist is required.
    • Current ARRT (RT(N)) or NMTCB ( CNMT, NCT, or PET) certification if a Radiology Technologist. OR Current registered CardiovascularSonographer through ARDMS or CCI Cardiovascular Credentialing in both Echocardiography and Vascular.
    • BLS through American Heart Association. ACLS through American Heart Association is required if an RN
    • Demonstrated clinical competence in relevant area of diagnostic cardiovascular procedures. Demonstrated leadership ability and potential managerial competency.
    • Evidence of this includes, but is not limited to, effective communication skills, ability to deal well with people, problem solve, confront/resolve issues, and motivate other, ability to plan, organizes, and directs the activities of others. Knowledge of human resources management, imaging department operation, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards required.
