The Environmental Services Technician position performs cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, ancillary areas, public areas according to hospital/facility prescribed procedures. Perform trash removal, furniture moves, cleaning of equipment, store room and dock, emergency flood clean-ups. Prevent healthcare-associated infections by using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals. Comply with policies and procedures to achieve a safe, clean and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
