The Food Service-Porter washes pots and/or dishes per procedure, delivers patient food carts to assigned units. Removes trash from all areas of the department. This position sweeps and mops department floors. This position cleans and maintains the dishmachine/pot& pan areas. He/She cleans food service equipment per cleaning procedures. The Food Service-Porter performs special cleaning task as assigned. He/she may assists in stocking and rotating supplies. He/she helps in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the complete food service department. He/She may deliver food carts to units for meal delivery. The person in this position works under general supervision. This position is responsible for various shifts and may be subject to over 40 hours per week and callback as required.
