  • Overview

    The Quality Consultant utilizes quality metric data (outcomes, process, and structural), benchmark databases, and measures of efficiency to perform duties as a consultant/advisor for Baptist Health Care in relation to conducting and supporting formal improvement strategies, and facilitation and consultation of quality improvement initiatives according to regulatory standards, policies and procedures. The Quality Consultant builds upon the technical and networking skills and processes of the Quality Analyst to managing quality initiatives in assigned areas by interpreting and presenting data as actionable information for leaders, providers and team members.

    The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Development, Computer Science, Decision Support Systems, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, Healthcare, or Technical/Healthcare related disciplines. 
    • Three (3) years post graduate professional experience compiling, analyzing and/or presenting data, with one year healthcare required OR Two (2) Years as a Business or Quality Analyst
    • Project Management Experience
    • Advanced Computer Skills required
    • Advanced MS Office Professional Suite skills, specifically including Excel required
    • Preferred proficiency with MS Access or Power Query
    • Preferred proficiency with relational database structure/language, for example SQL
    • Preferred proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or other data visualization tool.
    • Expertise with regulatory quality programs, clinical registries, and/or patient satisfaction service metrics
