  • Overview

    This role is responsible for supporting transformation strategies for Baptist Health Care. The role works within a team of transformation specialists to support strategic initiatives and tactics for execution and support/develop necessary management systems in doing so. The role aligns with our strategic priority to leverage our value of excellence to differentiate BHC as a culture that stresses professionalism and continuous improvement. The role will execute and/or support initiatives using appropriate process improvement frameworks and tools, including but not limited to Six Sigma, Lean, and Training Within Industry, while also developing our team members on principles of continuous improvement.


    The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.  Lean/SixSigma Black Belt is required with 18 months of employment/transfer
    • Five years’ experience required.
    • Demonstrated leadership, management, facilitation and networking skills. Ability to make prompt and effective decisions. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage priorities and utilize time effectively. Demonstrated competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills. Communicates clearly to express thoughts and ideas (interpersonal and technological effectiveness competencies). Demonstrated ability to work in a high volume work setting. Demonstrated flexibility and independence. Personal characteristics and capabilities include the following: team player, highly organized, clear and concise communicator, strategic thinker, detail oriented, ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; ability to oversee multiple projects and follow through with details; understanding of and adherence to deadlines; and excellent writing skills.
