  • Overview

    The Athletic Trainer (ATC) is responsible for the prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. The ATC will perform both outreach and periodic clinical duties for sports medicine program.  The ATC will provide athletic health care services to assigned schools in accordance with all Sports Medicine agreements. The ATC is responsible for tracking and reporting of athletic injuries at assigned school.   The ATC will also be responsible for oversight of students from area high school and college ATC programs. The ATC is to be an Ambassador for BHC with in the community to provide access and availability for all services.

                                       

     

    The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Athletic Training
    • Current license in the State of Florida and/ or  Alabama depending on what state you are assigned to work in as an Athletic Trainer.
    • Current BOC Certification.
    • BLS through American Heart Association.
    • Display knowledge of operation of  Sports Medicine Outreach Program
    • Display knowledge of operation of physician  networking and referral management
    • Display strong communication skills
    • Familiar with medical terminology in reference to   Sports Medicine Program
