  • Overview

    The Financial Pricing Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete prices for the hospital charge description master.  Utilizes Pricing Software tools to establish pricing and rate structure. Provides complex and advanced analytical support to all clinical and revenue cycle departments in the development of pricing for services and supplies in consideration of cost and market.  Provides documentation of analysis in required formats such as narrative reports, graphs, charts and power point presentations in order to support prices.  Ensures optimal revenue generation and maintains compliance with governmental and third party requirements.  Utilizes electronic auditing tools to monitor the charge master for set up errors and compliance with current and future regulations.  Has extensive internal contact with members of all clinical departments as well as Revenue Cycle and Finance and all levels of leadership throughout the organization.  Works with team members hospital-wide to support the organization’s pricing initiatives to ensure consistency with the hospital pricing policy.  This position works closely with all leadership and reports to the Revenue Integrity Manager.


    The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.


    • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or healthcare related degree is required
    • Two (2) years’ experience in Finance or financial analysis in health care setting is required.
    • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, as well as in a team.
    • Work situations require complex data analysis, strong computer skills, initiative, independent judgment in decision-making, a professional work ethic and effective interpersonal skills. 
    • Requires advanced excel and power point skills.
