  • Overview

    The Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Manager provides a collaborative and comprehensive health assessment and evaluation for patients in the Sub-Acute and/or Acute care settings.  This position is responsible for the daily supervision and operations of the ARNPs with in the Baptist Physician Associates; Hospitalist program of Internal Medicine and the Senior Health program to include interviewing, orientation, development and performance of personnel and monitoring the delivery of quality of care.  Specific supervisory duties include, but are not limited to: provision of day to day leadership for ARNPs; provision of daily schedule management and call rotation; trouble-shoot clinical and facility complaints related to department; assess and provide recommendations on improving clinic effectiveness and efficiency;  participate in chart reviews and staff/provider education as well as ensure all compliance and clinical care guidelines are met by the ARNPs;  collaborates with the physicians to make sure ARNPs are meeting all clinical and administrative expectations; and participates in intra/inter- departmental meetings in order to facilitate the program’s goals and objectives.


    The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.


    • MSN required. Successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program
    • Relevant experience in developing and running patient care programs
    • Current ARNP License in the State of Florida
    • BLS through American Heart Association
    • Must pass Level 2 background screening
    • Knowledge of advanced practice of nursing including anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and therapeutics, basic nutrition, behavioral factors, psychosocial/family systems, diagnostic testing, interpretation of results and clinical decision making, alternative treatment modalities
