  • Overview

    The IT Staff Auditor/Consultant performs professional internal auditing services which include information technology, financial, operational and compliance audits; provides consulting services to operations management and staff; and assists in the development of the annual internal audit plan (finance related) and provides input in development of the annual GRC audit plan (compliance related).


    The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts (primarily 8-5 M-F), may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters. 


    • BS / BA in Information Technology related background (Management information systems, computer science, information security), business administration, accounting or finance required
    • Two (2) years of experience in providing IT audit and assessment services
    • Familiarity of IT audit standards, methods, tools, best practice frameworks (COBIT Standards, COSO Guidelines)
    • Proficiency with PC based business systems: Excel, Access, Power Point is desired
    • Strong knowledge of accounting practices, concepts and internal controls
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, plus strong written and verbal communications skills
    • Ability to work with personnel at all levels within the organization
    • Must be able to work with and protect confidential information
    • Must work independently and as a member of a team when needed
