The Physician Recruiter works under the direction of the Physician Recruiting Manager. Their core responsibilities are finding and qualifying healthcare professionals (physicians and advanced practice providers) to fill job openings within Baptist Health Care. The Physician Recruiter discovers qualified physician candidates through a variety of methods and coordinates physician site visits as well as participates with the Physician Recruiting Manager to ensure that all recruitment practices are in keeping with accepted legal practices and appropriate regulations. Responsibilities include: developing innovative recruitment strategies, interviewing and proactively sourcing viable applicant pools, and ensuring that candidates are strong fits for both the cultural and professional needs of the organization. The organization, arrangement, and conduction of site visits with candidates will also be the responsibility of the Physician Recruiter. The Physician Recruiter will be the primary lead on the selection and assessment process for all physician and advanced practice provider candidates, including but not limited to background checks, personality assessments, and structured interviews. The Physician Recruiter also will assist in the contract negotiation processes at the direction of the Physician Recruiting Manager. Some travel may be required. The Physician Recruiter often will have to maintain a flexible work schedule to accommodate meetings with stakeholders before or after normal business hours.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
