The Quality Registry Specialist is responsible for data management of various clinical registries. This position must be able to navigate our clinical records as they exist in various systems; work with clinicians to clarify documentation; ensure data completeness and accuracy in order to meet established deadlines. The position will work with multiple departments and must be capable of problem solving in obtaining the data required to complete registry entries and submissions. The position will study and develop expertise from registry specification manuals and understand the output of the registry data. The position will also be required to run reports and present data at all levels of the organization.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
Associate’s degree is required
Two years’ experience working with clinical abstraction, chart reviews, clinical research, or clinical registry management.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with use of computers and related software applications (MS Office)
Ability to analyze, interpret and present complex information
Ability to develop expertise from review of specification manuals
