The Clinical IT Analyst for Cardiovascular Information Systems works collaboratively with users of clinical information systems and IT to serve the needs of the Cardiovascular service line. This positon provides assistance in planning, implementing, and optimizing information operations in the service line. The Clinical IT analyst is responsible for aspects of planning, workflow design, configuration and programming, clinical testing, verification, implementation, documentation, training and support of cardiovascular information systems. He/she utilizes knowledge and skills from clinical background to determine clinical functions that are suitable for computer applications and to ensure that clinical information systems are consistent with professional standards of clinical practice and meet all accreditation, registry, and billing requirements. This positon works with IT/Biomed, vendors, and clinical users to optimize interoperability between diagnostic imaging equipment and clinical applications. He/She analyzes current and future end user department requirements, procedures, and workflow, in order to provide application solutions that support and improve organization, division, and/or department operations. The Clinical IT Analyst develops and maintains a positive working relationship with end user departments to ensure optimal utilization of the cardiovascular applications, while providing appropriate levels of end user training and education.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
