The Behavioral Therapist in the Behavioral Medicine Department is responsible for facilitating the delivery of quality treatment services through delivery of specific modalities. He/She is primarily responsible for providing individual and group counseling to patients and families. In addition, the therapist co-ordinates the recovery planning process for all patients based on interdisciplinary assessments. As a key member in the care of the patient, develops therapeutic relationships based on trust and instills hope for recovery. He/She provides person centered care evidenced by choice, respect, dignity, partnerships, self-management, and full inclusion.
The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
