The Access Supervisor-Outpatient Facilities is responsible for providing superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding customer service. This position is responsible for ensuring the most efficient processes are in order to meet regulatory requirements. The supervisor will ensure the team meets industry standards for patient access, along with meeting and exceeding goals established by Baptist Health Care. The supervisor is responsible for maintaining all personnel aspects of the patient access department including, but not limited to hiring and disciplinary actions, adherence to time and attendance polices, proper staffing, and enforcement of BHC Values. The supervisor will work alongside the registration representatives and act as a resource for issues that are in need of escalation. This position will oversee team members at three different physical locations: Baptist Medical Park Nine Mile, Baptist Medical Park Airport, and Baptist Medical Park Pace. This position will work closely with the various departments represented at each location and keep open communication with management. The supervisor will provide necessary coverage for urgent care departments that are open 7 days a week/365 days a year. This position will demonstrate advanced problem solving and communication skills in working with team members spread out geographically and without physical presence of management on site. In the role, this position will ensure that timely deposit processes with proper sign off procedures of cash drawers are followed. The supervisor will make regular visits to each location to ensure solid relationships with all customers, look for process improvement opportunities, and act as a conduit for change. The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.
